Gippsland Local Health Service Network

From July 1, 2025, Victoria’s Local Health Service Networks (Networks) will be officially established.

The Networks group health services within a geographical region and are responsible for supporting collaborative care for their community, as close to home as possible.

Orbost Regional Health is a part of the Gippsland Local Health Service Network.  Our Network is made up of the following health services:

• Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (Bairnsdale)
• Central Gippsland Health (Sale)
• Latrobe Regional Health (Traralgon)
• Omeo District Health (Omeo)
• South Gippsland Hospital (Foster)
• West Gippsland Healthcare Group (Warragul)
• Yarram & District Health Service (Yarram)

Each health service within our network will keep its name, local leadership, identity and connection to their community – while working together to provide improved access to services and better outcomes in our region.  The relationships you have with hospitals and health services remain the same.

Over the next six months, we’ll be working across our Network and with you to undertake clinical service planning to ensure we are working together as a collective to address the health needs of our community.

As our Network develops, we look forward to strengthening partnerships with health organisations in, and across, our region.

Delivering excellent patient care is and remains our number one priority.
